Professor Emeritus Cheryl Bartlett at University of Alberta - Augustana Campus   March 02, 2014

On 25 and 26 February 2014, CBU Professor Emeritus Cheryl Bartlett was a guest at the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus (Camrose) where she received the 2103 Distinguished Alumni Award.  While on campus, she presented a public "lunch and learn" session entitled "Story in Science in Story" sponsored by the Augustana Alumni Association in conjunction with the University of Alberta Centre for Sustainable Rural Communities. She also visited classrooms talking about Two Eyed Seeing plus "perspective in story and science" with History students, "cultural humility" with a Masters cohort of Physical Therapy students, and "the importance of understanding knowledge systems and boundaries in transdisciplinary work" for Environmental Studies students.  She additionally gave a lecture on nematode parasites for an Invertebrate Zoology class as well as led a workshop on "lessons learned in the journey of Integrative Science" for Augustana's Aboriginal Engagement Committee.
