Determinants of Aboriginal Health and Education November 16, 2012
On 19 November 2012, Métis educator Don Fiddler will speak to the theme "working on the determinants of Aboriginal health and education: building resilient youth and families" at 7:00 pm at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS. Cape Breton Mi'kmaw Elders Murdena and Albert Marshall from Eskasoni First Nation and Cape Breton University's CRC in Integrative Science Dr. Cheryl Bartlett will provide response.
Don Fiddler is a National Advisory Board member for the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health, a National Advisory Board Co-Chair for the National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health, and a District Principal for Aboriginal Education for the Vancouver School Board.
This is a Frank McKenna Centre for Leadership Encounter, sponsored by the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health in conjunction with the Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Peoples and Sustainable Communities, The Indigenous Peoples Research Cluster, Department of Anthropology at StFXU.
