Talking With Their Feet September 14, 2011
This booklet, written in non-academic language, presents the findings of a research study (funded by CIHR) to find the causes of and solutions to non-attendance of Aboriginal people in diabetes clinics. The Principal Investigator was Dr. Barbara Patterson (now Dean, School of Nursing, Thompson Rivers University) with the research team made up of Carla Moore and Fred Wien (Atlantic Aboriginal Health Research Program, Dalhousie University), Ada Roberts (Miawpukek First Nation, Conne River), Lee Ann Sock (Elsipogtog First Nation), Shelley Francis (Union of New Brunswick Indians), Charlotte Reading (Atlantic Aboriginal Health Research Program, University of Victoria), Roseanne Sark (Mi'kmaq Confederacy of PEI), Darlene Wall (Labrador Metis Nation), and Cheryl Bartlett (Cape Breton University), bapaterson@tru.ca.
